DSL can be my last option. I am still looking at other
ISP options, but, I would definitely need a router.
Have quite a few machines that I would like to connect
to the Internet and router/NAT protection is very
important for me :)
The dsl router that dishnet gives you is a crappy aztech 906e - but it
certainly does NAT, port forwarding etc, and can be telneted into if you
want to configure it by hand.
Just pick up a simple 10/100 switch and connect the wan port of the
switch to the ethernet port on your broadband router.
If you want, pick up a small $75 wireless AP from somewhere - especially
if you have a laptop with wifi.
I am also looking for web hosting services running
http://www.pair.com is good. They are not the cheapest around, but
Linux/UNIX servers. Do you guyz recommend anyone? Even
a 30MB space for a good deal will be great!
still quite ok.
