Hi,
Was trying to upgrade mysql and mysql-server on my
machine. I got some conflict and tried to remove old
package.
I closed the terminal as it looked like it had
crashed. After that, rpm reports presence of my-sql
server package but I am unable to locate any of the
files associated with package.
used rpm --c pkgname to identify files, but did not
find the files on the machine.
deleted lock files created by rpm db's crash.
did rpm --rebuilddb.
still have the same problem. still see the lock files
( _db.001, _db.002). referred to an online article
for fixing.
tried second method :
1)made a back up of rpm
2) verified the packages
3) did rebuilddb with rpm
still get rpm mentioning that the package
mysql-server
is present though it is not.
