or odc)' since the file is in cpio format.

Did U try doing a `file <filename>` on the file - that will tell you
if the file is wrongly named.

Subject: [Ilugc] Problem with gzip file
I got a .gz file, on trying to extract it using gunzip, I'm facing a problem
stating the file is not compressed using gzip. I just done onething, after
downloading that file in windows environment, I double clicked the file,
since the file is associated with Winzip program, it openend winzip, but i
cancelled the operation. Does this trouble the .gz file? Is there anyway
to retrieve that file? Any Suggestions?
Thanks in advance
