[Ilugc] Problem to play MIDI files in R.H. LINUX (AC'97 Codec Audio by VIA Chipset)

Hallo,

I have Gigabyte mother board (GA7ZXE) with on board AC’97 codec audio (VIA
VT82C686B Chipset).  I Couldn’t play MIDI files in Red Hat Linux 7.2 (Kernel
Version 2.4.7-10) but its plays other audio formats. While attempt to MIDI
system give error massage as follows,

            Couldn’t open dev/sequencer
            Probably there is another program using it.

But as far as I know there is no other programs using it. Please help me. (I
tried with Windows OS, MIDI files playing well, therefore my MIDI
synthesizer  is OK)
