it is not my intention to flame the list
but this list will be the appropriate place for this question.
i'am doing a research project on various licensing models available (
opensource gpl freebsd licence, windows eula etc ) and the computer indistry.
of all these i find the open soucre / gpl used by certail OSes like linux looks
scary and may finally have an impact on industry.
could you kindly let me know on what is the objective / intention of this
licensing policy ( which i feel nobody will benefit )
enduser, developers, companies etc.
