Do you already have a phone? or can you get a seperate phone line for
this connection? if you can, then tata indicom would be my
recommendation (in bangalore, tata indicom does pretty decently. I get
like 10K/s at nights and around 3-5K/s during the day). They charge a
flat Rs.1500/- per month. No limits on usage hours / bandwidth.
and yes, the modem thats inbuilt in the phone is configurable in
Linux.
