Is anyone using the BSNL digital modem connection?
The
details:

- Registration (Rs.2000/-)

- Connection is like this:
Internet<--Telephone line-->Modem<--Ethernet-->PC
(Since its ethernet I can use it with any OS?)

- Speed is 128 KBps (kilo bytes) with
download/upload
limit of 512 MB/month at cost of Rs.850/- per month.

That's great, but is it always connected or do I
have to connect/disconnect like dialup.  There is
something called DIAS which has data limit of 500
MB/month with the same Rs. 859 per month.  Dunno
what's the advantages between the two.

Now I am using BSNL's permanent telephone line (2nd
bfone) for internet.

I have even started a `emerge sync` in that dialup
-- probabily it'll finish in the morning :)

Let me know your views,

Thanks,

Shaks
