Did you even take some time to read this guy's mail before replying,
instead of giving bogus advice?
It does look like his modem is dialing out just fine, but he can't set
up his dialer software.

Area code / index number - leave them blank. You are not making an STD
call to dial into netone, right? Area code for madras - 040, for example.

i'm using RHL9 and i was not able to configure internet in my system.
i've NETONE internet pack, when i dial-up using the modem i hear the
message,"the number u have dialied......",but the same internet account
is working fine with windows.
