We have a seperate server for our Local mail system. We are using
sendmail with redhat 8.0 for that. we have problem in network services.
After a certain hours all the network services gets automatically
shutdown. Even we are not able to PING to the mail server, it says
request time out. We don't why it is happening?
after running crontab -l under root we get: no crontab for root
then after running crontab -e under root we get a empty text file from
/tmp/crontab opened in vi.
in vi/var/log/messages it says:
ifup: failed: some hosts uses the address 192.10.10.10
etho: failed.
all these network services works fine if we manually take and put it back
the network interface card.
bfore adjusting the NIC card, after running /etc/init.rd restart it says:
eth0 failed.
after taking it out and putting back the NIC card, after running
/etc/init.rd restart it says: eth0 OK
So what could be the problem?
