[Do not pine for `non-free' stuff]
if you guys have any tool to evaulate the best mirror, please let
`apt-get install apt-spy'
Downloads from debian.org a list of current mirrors and tests each of
the mirrors for bandwidth. Writes a /etc/apt/sources.list file based
on the responses it gets. (blatant cut & paste job :)
Also install iftop and watch the juice flowing.....
i do have the deb woody 3.0 cds, so i think i could copy the
binaries from that, and start mirroring
Eg. to update CD-1 of woody from 3.0r0 to 3.0r1, read on, repeat for
the other CDs.
Do a dd and create the image, mount this image at /loop by doing a
`mount -o loop debian-30r0-i386-binary-1_NONUS.iso /loop'
`apt-get install jigdo-file'
As su, run `jigdo-lite' from within the dir where you have the iso
image of CD-1 and care should be taken to free up ample space here.
Read the docs at (http://home.in.tum.de/~atterer/jigdo/
Articulate your problems, if any, and we shall help.
