Not sure about the default Mandrake 8.1 install.
1. If your kernel has IP forwarding/ IP Masquerading enabled and you set up a
suitable firewall, you can share internet connection from a Linux server.
Check the following URL for details on how to find out whether your default
kernel has been compiled suitably and how to set up your Linux machine to
share internet connection:

2. You can also install apache and set up your system as a webserver. Your
Mandrake CDs will have the necessary rpms to install apache.
