Try slackware - it'll set you completely free. And there is NO safety

Hmmm. I have never tried slackware. I have already decided to try Open BSD
for our border servers as suggested by Sanjay chigurupati of ilugc list.
How good is Slackware when compared with Debian for CVS/Mail/Apache/Tomcat etc
servers? Is slackware worth the move from Debian on servers?? (Please
remember that I CANT bring down a server for maintenance just like that! ) If
slackware is good enough may be I should try it on new deployments. But what
is the package manager for slack? I dont want to miss apt-get.
I checked planetmirror.com for slackware archives. It has 4 isos of 9.1
slackware. If I'm convinced I shall proceed to download them.
PS: I am more concerned about missing apt than missing debian.
