Hi,
To start with, you can run the live CD of distros like Knoppix to get
to know more. once u r comfortable with that because they give the
real picture of linux will be and then try for the installation of
Fedora or mandrake which is very easy to use. Most distros contains
Office suites from sun microsystems named OpenOffice.org. I recommend
mandrake linux for You!
