Dear Srikanth
Thanks for your reply. If I install MDK in E or F partition, there will be
3 OSes in the system (Windoze, RH7.2 and MDK9). Lilo is the bootloader now.
After installing MDK9, should I make any changes in the lilo-config file for
the proper display of the names of all the 3 OSes while booting?
In another system WinXP and RH7.3 are installed with GRUB bootloader.
Suppose if I install MDK9 now in an empty partition, what changes I should
make in the GRUB-config file. How much mininum space is needed for the
typical MDK9 installation?

Hiyou
If the E or F drive is free, you can dedicate that partition to MDK and
can install without distrubing windows. No need for FAT 32 formatformat
installation.During MDK installation point to that drive having free space
(E or F) and choose "Auto allocate" . You are done. It will not disturb
windows unless otherwise you choose that partition. It will use ext3

Dear Luggies
I'm having Windows 98 SE in my sytem with dual booting options
Partitions details
C - 5GB
D - 5 GB (RH Linux -7.2)
E - 15 GB
G - 15 GB
I would like to go for Mandrake 9.0 linux for windows without disturbing
existing settings.
As per thier insturctions, Mandrake linux fow windows can be installed
a
window partition in a separate folder.
Is it possible to install MDK without losing any data in my E or F
partition? if it is installed
in windows, will it use FAT-32 or ext.3 File system?
Thanking you in advance
