Thanks for the tip. I tried it but didn't get what i expected..
Create Query goes as follows.
create table test(
id varchar(10),
foreign key (id) references main(id)
);
The output goes as follows....
mysql> show create table test;
+-------+-------------------------------------------------------------------
---+
| Table | Create Table |
+-------+-------------------------------------------------------------------
---+
| test | CREATE TABLE `summa` (
`id` varchar(10) default NULL
) TYPE=MyISAM |
+-------+-------------------------------------------------------------------
---+
1 row in set (0.01 sec)

Try the following query which will show the create table statement with
"show create table tablename"
