Subject: [Ilugc] ntfs & grub trouble
I have installed mandrake 8.2 linux 2.4 kernel in the primary
partition and grub loader in the mbr.
first i installed linux in /dev/hda1 - primary partition as linux
native and /dev/hda5 as linux swap.
Later i installed win 2k advanced server as ntfs and now my whole
partition get collapsed and now hda1 was my win2k adv. server and
hda5 was my linux swap and my linux native was /dev/hda6.
and couldn't find any data in /dev/hda6 i tried mount -t ext2
and find no data in hda6 but there should be data because just the
partition gets altered and there's no chance for loss of data and
i tried linux rescue and other rescue options and i tried upgrade
install and it states that there was no linux partition and i was
in deep trouble .
Help me to recover this
