A possible response to the answer....
Assume, after seventeen years of Zen meditation, I come up with a neat
little clay-cast that will take clay as input and give a beautiful
Buddha statue as output.
Now, my question:-
I would like to go opensource by letting the world know the inner
design of the claycast, because I like the concept of no-patent and
free-knowledge-sharing.
Dumping the clay in, and getting the statue out is negligible in both
time and effort.
So, can I charge for my clay-statue-making, given that I have
publicized the inner design of the claycast?
Answers please?
X does Y. X is human and Y is action. X cannot claim for money for
each Y he/she does. He can do a subset of Y in order to get money. You
can innovate. You can become popular, hence. But it doesn't make
sense to ask for money for that innovation. As I said before, service
your customer and they will pay you. As a general principle, by going
ILLEGAL, one can get lot of wealth.
But the amount of wealth he gains will be limited in a legal path,
though he may gain good feelings by GOD. But it should be still
enough for him. (Now, you may come to know why Mr. Gates is the
richest person in the World).
Is that a possible answer for your question?
Another divine answer:
Time is divided into four stages ... and we are in the fourth stage .. In
the fourth stage man do many sins, in the first stage, everyone is
considered to be GOD. It is believed that GOD will one day bring back us
to the first stage from this dirty fourth stage.I consider Free Software
Founders as a descendents of GOD. They were born
to notify us that this transition may not be so far.
