*Process Overview*:
Global Markets Technology & Operations provides end-to-end technology
solutions for Global Markets businesses including Equities, Prime
Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and
Structured Products. Across all these products, solutions include
architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and
support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GMT&O provides
Sales, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk,
Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation,
Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and
Wealth Management businesses.
*Job Description: *
The position is part of Global Markets Operations Technology (GMOT) within
the GMRT&O organization provides technology solutions across a wide range
of Global Markets Operations functions (Middle Office) including various
major reporting platforms such as URSA, IKON, ACE, etc., and tax related
applications such as TMS, Tax manager, US Tax, PETRA, etc.,. The portfolio
also includes applications in the claims processing and margin calculation
domains. The team manages the major set of EMEA securities applications.
*Responsibilities:*
- Possess a high level of analytical and creative skills
- Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual
initiatives
- Responsible for functional delivery of assigned applications
- Be a seasoned and proficient technical resource
- Collaborate with team to coordinate delivery of software application
- Work under minimal supervision, with general guidance from experienced
consultants
- Effectively conveys message in both written and verbal development
discussions
- Should possess expertise in OOPS technologies and practices
- Strong expertise in Python.
- Interact with Business Partners and come up with solutions
- Designs, develops, enhance, debugs, supports, maintain and tests
software applications that support business units or supporting functions.
- Develop reconciliations based on the requirements provided
- Learn new technologies when directed as future development may involve
diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools
- Work in a fast paced environment, under minimal supervision, with
guidance from senior team members
*Requirements:*
- *Education: * B.E, B. Tech or MCA
- *Certifications If Any:* None
- *Experience Range: *4 â 6 years of industry experience
- *Mandatory skills: *
- Strong python knowledge
- Strong knowledge of SQL (Sqlserver\ Oracle \ MySQL) is mandatory.
- NoSQL knowledge will be added advantage
- Knowledge in UNIX operating system
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience on Testing
- A proactive approach to problem solving and think innovatively
- Strong experience with delivery of Application Development for
applications in Global Markets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- *Desired skills:*
- Understanding Trade life cycle (Banking Domain)
- Informatica / SSRS / SSIS / Cognos would be an additional benefit
- Quartz knowledge would be beneficial
- Strong background in a disciplined software development life cycle
(SDLC) process and any expertise working AGILE development methodology is
added advantage.
