I already came across the above.

I am able to compile Globus ToolKit 5.2.5 cleanly in the same environment.
But my requirement is to test with 4.0.x.  As the GPT (Globus Packaging
Tool) requires perl compression libraries to compile (GT 4.0.x comes
bundled with few perl compression modules, and it does not look for the
perl compression modules installed in the OS).

I hope, if the gpt packaging tools uses the perl compression modules comes
with the OS, then it should compile cleanly.

Will the post the result if it works.


Ok. Just to throw some hints.

Perl has @INC array, list of dirs, in which it looks for libraries.

If you are sure that gpt uses libraries shipped with it , then you can try
replacing those - atleast this one - with the one from cpan and check how
it turns out.
