baah - ask them whats a PTR, Iam pretty sure they might be clueless.
I had to send them mails after mails and make so many phone calls to make
some of them understand whats a PTR.
Oh yeah, their admins *NEVER* reply any of the mails.
Use them only for connectivity. Send all your mail traffic out of some
other - more secure and unblacklisted - ip space, preferably using an
ssh tunnel so that your dishnet ip doesnt show up anywhere in the email
headers.
For example check the headers of this email ...
ssh -L 2525:localhost:25 suresh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
to open a tunnel - localhost:2525 on your desktop is forwarded to port
25 on frodo.hserus.net (the smtp port). I then set thunderbird to use
localhost:2525 as the smtp server
If you have a shell account somewhere else (say your webhost, or a free
shell provider like arbornet.org / symonds.net etc) then you can do this
suresh
