you need some kind of interface to pppd, if only pon / poff etc.
Otherwise it can be more than a bit painful.
I use pppd, never had problems with it. Just took somebody's
script from the net and filled in my values. Easy.
pon.1: "pon can be used to run multiple, simultaneous PPP connections".
Surely the average user doesn't have a burning need to do that?!
