NEW for product: Intel(R) C++ Compiler for Linux*
I remember readin on /. long time back that it was finally possible to
compile the kernel with this one (aggresive optimization), but has anyone
actually tried this?
And I remember reading a comparison of GNU Complier Suite (3.x) with the
Intel one.. and it showed that the performance was comparable, especially
with the new GCC.. couldn't find that one after a google though.. :(
Obviously, i believe you are looking for additional performance that an
Intel Compiler from Intel can provide.. is that right ?
The comparison showed that the GNU Complier was better on a few numbers
!!!! But then the best benchmark is to use the two of them yourself ! and
put in your own measures.
