Hi,
I have a machine with Adaptec AHA-7XXX SCSI Controller, when i try to
install RedHat 6.2 it works fine but when i try to install Redhat 7.2 or
7.3 the computer hangs on the screen showing Loading aic7xxx driver".
I found the cause of the problem, which is the new SCSI driver for
Adaptec 7XXX controllers in Linux. Instead of going for the automatic
installation i started the installation manually (linux noprobe) and
after when the comp prompts to add a device i selected a SCSI controller
but the list had only the new driver and not the old driver. Can any one
help me out on this pls.
