[PCB_FORUM] Re: uprev_overwrite

Chris,

I don't think you have anyway of telling without opening the symbols. It basically just give you an error when it's not the right version. I am guessing best way is to just have a folder for each version if you must have different version library.

Thanks Seiji and Charlie.

I am not sure as time goes on, how one would know what the last revision
of software the symbol was saved in.

Maybe someone from Cadence can weigh in on uprev protocol with respect
to allegro symbols?

Chris

Chris,

My only problem I've had with the symbol not being uprevved is when I
tried
using Version 13 symbol on Version 15. I didn't have any problems using

Version 14 symbols in Version 15. I think this is what Charlie was
saying.
Hope this what you are looking for.

Seiji
