This is the reason I put the issue on the top 5 for more support of geometries in the padstack editor. I used a tool Prance that Cadence bought and dismantled 15 years ago that supported geometries such as donuts, octagons and radiuses corners. I don't believe the padstack geometries have ever been moved forward since allegro's inception. -----Original Message----- From: Gene Carman [mailto:gcarman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 2:52 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] What does this mean? I am trying to create a donut shape... a .ssm file. I tried creating a circle with a void, it was rejected because "cannot have voids in shapes." Then I tried lines as arcs... Then I tried to draw the arc... I keep getting "ILLEGAL ELEMENT CLASS" So what is the darn LEGAL element class for a simple shape? CREATE SYMBOL BEGUN.
