[PCB_FORUM] Re: setting diff pairs to only route on a certain lay er pair in stackup?

You're too early, Natalie.

I think 15.5 has that feature. Or maybe 15.5.1?

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] setting diff pairs to only route on a certain layer
pair in stackup?

Hey,

Don't know if this is possible, but here is what I
want to be able to do.

First, I'm on WIN2000 using Allegro PCB Editor 15.2
s111 (9-13-05).

I would like a way to setup a constraint in Allegro so
that Diff. Pairs would route between a single layer
pair.

I have 4 layer pairs in a 24 layer brd, and I want to
set up a "if/then" situation, such that if the diff
pair starts on one layer of a layer pair, then it
could only change to the other layer within that same
layer pair, instead of switching to a completely
different layer pair.

Am I expecting too much - or is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance for any help I can get! ;-)
