One of our current Chinese suppliers recently quoted a 2 layer to 4 layer
change with everything else being equal...
2L=$6.30
4L=$7.38
... so about a 17% increase.
High volume product, so your results may vary.

We are currently doing a 5x4 board with two layers. I've been given the
task of adding about 20 more components and asked to keep the same layer
count, due to cost. Management thinks it doubles. Anyone have any ideas
about what percentage price will jump for each layer added? I thought I
read something about 10 for each added layer.
