[PCB_FORUM] Re: nets shorted to gnd plane

And like "Dave" said. ::: Always include the IPC-D-356 netlist with the
Gerber artwork and specify that the fab job should stop if the IPC
netlist does not agree with the artwork.

I didn't think about anybody sending artwork out for fab, without that
stipulation.

That really is a absolute have to do.

But get the pics from the fab house, you problem will most likely not be
that hard to fix, you just need to see it as they do.

I put a dollar on the table, you just turned on some layer, that you
didn't know you did, in creating your art work.

Sam,

Allegro does not run a drc check to the gerber formats. That is left for
the valor check, typically completed at a fab house. We have been
scorched a few times on the same issue, including one today.

The cost of a valor license is extremely high, when you include the
training and annual maintenance. Make sure your fab house completes
this check.

Group, I sent gerbers out and board house pointed out nets were shorted
to plane. I ran DRC and I didn't have nets shorted errors, this
shouldn't be.

Sam
