Sam,
Couple of things
- It is possible to override a DRC with properties, make sure that the
nets involved don't have the "NO_DRC" property on a pin(s).
- Make sure there are no "waived DRCs" that are not valid.
- Run DBDoctor or "Database check" all the time to keep the design in
sync and up to date
- Make sure the plane layers in the cross section spread sheet agree
with the artwork control form (neg or pos)
- Make sure the padstacks are designed properly with proper Antipads
and thermals
- Always include the IPC-D-356 netlist with the Gerber artwork and
specify that the fab job should stop if the IPC netlist does not agree with the
artwork.
Have fun and hope this helps.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] nets shorted to gnd plane
Group, I sent gerbers out and board house pointed out nets were shorted to
plane. I ran DRC and I didn't have nets shorted errors, this shouldn't be.
