[PCB_FORUM] ground connections

Concept Question:
I am using a ground symbol calling it gnd.
I am also using a net, in for example a table symbol representing a ring
on the board. This net is also gnd. I am getting a ton of warnings
because these are the same. How can I have a net and symbol be the same,
or is there something special to do for grounds or power planes?
