Fred,
Drill bits are circular & so far I have seen only circular & oval drill 
holes.Curcular bit has 
curvature & I don't think it can drill perfect rectangular or square hole.
You can have pad of any shape.

Did you want the via to be rectangular or just the pad? I had many cases
were a square via would have been nice but the board house(s) weren't
really thrilled about it. A square pad just to identify pin 1 (for
example) is an easy thing to do.

Hi,
I use Allegro Design Expert and I wanna create a padstack for a special
connector.
Well, I want to know if it's possible to design a pad with a rectangular
drill hole...
I have imagined a solution : I enable multiple drill and make a row of
circles...But it's not exactly what I want...
