Hi George

I believe anyone on sourcelink can get there with this url. You will
have to register.

Hmmmm...

Tried logging in with the same email and password I do for sourcelink,
no joy.

But, then, I never got the invite, either :)

Guess I'm too much of a "squeeky wheel" :D

Yes, I indeed did. I apologize for that. Just got back from ICU
and I am trying to get through all the emails. I
guess I got to slow down a little......

Here is my take on these new forums:

I am signed up on these new forums and I think they are more or
less an addition to the existing customer
support tools. You need to have a sourcelink account in order to
sign up which means you need
to be a paying customer. I think this is just to get customers
to solve other customers issues (sorry for being blunt).

There were some very interesting discussions at ICU this year in
regards to customer support and other related issues.
Without getting into much details, Cadence is very interested in
becoming more customer focused and get more involved with
customers. I think we can expect some changes here and there for
the better. I had conversations with users and people from Cadence
in regards to a customer advisory commitee, open user forums,
etc etc...

There is a lot going on and I promise that we will keep all of
you in the loop.

It was very nice to see that 36% of all users at ICU came from
the PCB end (5% from this forum). I hope to bring this number above
45-50% next year.
We will start an ICU PCB SIG survey next month in order to
collect your ideas, thoughts and wishes for ICU 2005. This will help us
make the conference next year even more successfull than this
year. This is going to be though, because this year really rocked.
        The technical content was outstanding.

        Stay tuned for more......

        Andy,
I think you misunderstood Patrick. I received an email from
Cadence
that they are starting a support group:

         http://supportforums.cadence.com

I believe that was what his email was about.
