[PCB_FORUM] Re: archives/searching, was Re: Allegro "secret" command thieving

I edited the Skill program to add a custom property (copper_fill) to each
thieving shape added by the program. This way it's simple for anyone to
delete the shapes after the fact (for example: when you spin the rev).
I'd attach it here, but I've modified (butchered?) the program so much that
no one would recognize it anymore. Now that I look at it, I have it adding
the fill to a different subclass too.
; Rev. C - Sept 11, 2003
; 8 years later...
; Redo form, add undo button, create "BALANCE" subclass if not there
; (based on outline), add fill with property (copper_fill) and add to
; new subclass (top_fill/bottom_fill). Also check to makes sure fill
; is inside shape (allows for non-rectangular shape).

With the old skill, fix all net and delete all shapes.
You may prefer to create a custom property (for shapes, Boolean). Attach
this to all shapes then delete it from your own shapes.
This would allow deleting the balance shapes by selecting the property. Bit
of a PITA, probably better ways. Alternately...

Thanks everyone.
It turned out that for some unknown reason the thieving command did not add
as it should in all areas of my board.
So I had to go back to the AutoBalancing.il skill program.
This old skill program works when generating patterns, only problem is that
the delete function don't work.
I'll try and find a solution to this delete function.

Peter

Hey, that worked well.

I was used to the old server not archiving well, and never checked after the
change.
This is cool.
The other cool thing is if i happen to have it on my own comp, i get those
results, too.
