There is a file which is generated during the Viewdraw netlist compile that
contains
schematic page information. ....

I started to type a response and realized that I had the process outlined
in a
presentation that I gave at the 2001 ICU Conference.  Basically, you assign
properties to the function designators then hilite the different schematic
pages
using these properties.

Attached to this email is a ZIP File which contains a scaled down version
of the
presentation which just covers the schematic page property process. Let me
know
if you don't get the presentation so I can send it directly to your email
address.

As far as the association of the "Filter Caps with their related IC".. that
will take
must more work that it is worth.   I believe Cadence has something in place
to
accomplish this but you will need to use their front end tools.  It is
probably best
to use ROOM properties on the Viewdraw side and drive them thru the 3rd
party
netlist them place the components by Room.

Dear Forum,



My Customer employs ViewDraw (very old Rev) Third-Party Schematic Capture.



I end up with Netlist, Device Files, and a .pdf Schematic.



Are there any Component Properties that will come across and allow me to
Highlight by Schematic Page?



An extra bonus would be the capability to associate Filter Caps with their
Related IC's.



I already know I'm Crazy, so don't be shy!
