I'm just happy to see ANY decoupling caps on a board... I see lots of
boards that have severely insufficient decoupling. It used to be the #1
thing that had to get fixed when we were asked to debug some other companies
boards.
With respect to the subject, whether one gives .2uh better specs or not, I
have not seen any studies that show the actual significance of either
methodology. My experience is that both work sufficiently well, at least in
the circumstances I have encountered...and I go up in the low GHz range with
some of my designs.
