Well, like everything in engineering, the correct and complete answer is "it
depends".

Funny - that's the same conclusion we came to here - it depends. :)
This subject has been a hotly debated topic among our engineers here
and your original posting re-ignited the debate. I was trying to provoke some responses by pointing
out the letter from Dr. Johnson. Thanks for your comments.
