Here are my tricks .1) If you are using an Intel cpu based system try turning off the `CPU C1 state`. This will result in constant CPU speed. Speedstep tech. of Intel may impact performance under certain situations. 2) Try turning off Hyperthreading. There will be some trade-offs, but this can improve Allegro 16.3.
I'm using these tricks on an i3-560 processor. (3.33Ghz) Moris Ruso----- Original Message ----- From: "Dickoff, Diane J" <diane.j.dickoff@xxxxxxxxx>

I am editing a board with quite a few Constraints in the V.16.3 CM. Whenever I slide a trace, move a via or any mod, it hangs up for 30 sec each time. I have tried changing global shapes params from smooth to rough and even disabled. Short of turning off On-Line DRC, which I do not want to do. Many DRC's to clean up.
