Hey Dave,
From what I gather so far, I also believe I will miss Allegro. Heck, I miss
it already just talking about Mentor!
The good news is, I do 100% interactive placement and routing. I haven't
used the autorouter in years. I think back then it was called Cooper &
Chan, or something like that.

Gary,
I believe Exp was previously known as Veribest. Mentor also has a flavour of
Exp plugged into their BS toolset called RE - it essentially is an
enhancement to Boardstation's manual / interactive route engine. Comparisons
to Pads are based in Exp (and RE) interactive and bus routing functionality.
My opinion - you'll miss Allegro. And if you plan to do any autorouting,
hold on to that Specctra license !!
