[PCB_FORUM] Re: Technology Selector ?

Mike,

Ed actually presented a paper at CDNLive! 2006 "Targeting Footprint
Selection by Technology in the Allegro PCB Editor" that talked about
add-on tools to Allegro that was created by his group, I don't think
that are part of the standard tool. Ed is still a member of the forum
so he should have seen your post but maybe he is out of the office or
busy today. I'll drop him a voicemail.

Both his paper and presentation are available for download on
CDNUsers.org http://www.cdnusers.org under the top menu CDNLive! >
Silicon Valley 2006 Proceedings. Once you get to the main Silicon Valley
2006 Proceedings page just click the "SPB Co-Design tab" and scroll down
to " Session 6.4: Targeting footprint selection by technology in the
Allegro PCB Editor"

Hope this helps,

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Technology Selector ?

I stumbled across an article by Ed Lutz of Motorola (as of 2006)
who mentions
a part of the tool that can be invoked via Import - Logic called
Technology Selector.
This tool seems pretty interesting, problem is that I cannot
find it. Is this part of
a certain tool set within Allegro? Does anyone have any info on
where this is found?
I tried emailing Ed but as of this morning have had no luck.

        thanks,
        Mike
