If you have these components as part of your database and know
the correct ref des for each component.....logic -> assign
refdes
type in the ref des in the options tab and click on the "*"
component
it will assign the ref des to the part.

  Soledad
The simplest way is to drop the components and then swap them into
the circuit. The simplest is to swap out the IC and then turn on the
rats for that IC. Then delete the components with * designation.
If you feel real industrious you need to create a hierarchical
module
in the schematic and a module in Allegro.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] copy circuit in Allego

Hi All,

I'm working with Allegro version 15.1 using Viewlogic for the schematic
and would like to duplicate a circuit from the PCB Allegro side; When I
copy the circuit, the new components reference designators come up with
a "*", but Allegro does not allow for me to manually change them and
assign a new reference designator.
Does anyone know how to do this or How to translate this change to the
schematic?

Thanks in advance for your help
