[PCB_FORUM] Re: Specctra autorouter - protecting some / ripping up others

Richard,

Fix the routed net & clines before re-routing/autoroute. Fixing doesn't
rip up routed trace during autoroute.
Alternate, you may create boundary in the region you want to route & write
rules accordingly.

Hope it helps

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Specctra autorouter - protecting some / ripping up
others

Hello all

We have a partially-routed board, with some very carefully hand-routed
traces and some other routed lower-speed lines.

We wish to try autorouting the rest (with constraints thrown in, of
course), but protecting the most critical lines.

I believe Specctra, by default, protects all previously-routed wires.
What do I write in the .do file to tell it it's OK to rip up and
re-route some wires?

Cheers,
Richard
