Nope. This is not the case, for me anyway.
I have done all of the things suggested so far except
deleting the voids that Todd suggested. I want to try
that but need to get this finished. I don't think that that
will help as there are no voids that I am aware of.
I have also drawn a void in the "under" shape to clear the
shape I added. It made no difference. I am now in the
process of voiding all of the vias and pins but one
(or more) of them results in a "after voiding there is
no shape left" error. I am in the process of narrowing
it down to the one (or more) causing the problem. As
I stated before, every time I select some vias to void,
I get a 40 minute delay while it processes.
I individually zcopied all of the shapes to another layer
and got the same result. This is extremely frustrating.
Also, the boundary subclass is not new to 15.2. I have
been using it since at least 15.0. Converting to 15.2
has not been a problem as I am still at 15.1 with
the latest SR installed.
By the way, thanks for all of the excellent suggestions.
I wish one of them would have solved the problem. I was also
hoping one of the Cadence monitors might respond.
Ah, well, back to my hammer to beat on it some more.
One of the things I have always said about Allegro is it
almost always has more than one way to "skin a cat".
This is a prime example of that. I used Expedition for
3 years and it rarely had more than one way to provide
solution to a problem. I missed that and am now glad
to be back to Allegro even with it's anomalies.
Thanks,
Kevin
