Hi Alan,
I was looking into that and found there were no long file names or
numbered file names in Win fonts. I submitted a service request to Cadence
at 12:47PM local time and will post what I learn.
Thanks,
Ed

PS - You and I are neighbors! I am currently working in Suwanee.

Ed
Take a look at Source Link solution 11147684
It has to do with fonts that are on your PC
It seems strange but if there are fonts in
C:Windows\Fonts that were longer than 32 characters
and the name changed this causes a problem for Cadence

Hi Larry,
Thanks for the tip... I tried checking the box and it defaults to
Courier... the browse button shows no fonts available not even Courier...
when I hit the plot button Allegro goes away consistently without a
warning.
Do I need to setup a pointer somewhere for fonts in Allegro.
It appears there are only the numbered ASCII fonts available in the tool.
Regards,
Ed

Ed,

In the Plot Setup, Windows menu do you have the Non-vectorized text
button checked? If not, give that a try.
