Ed,
We can select other fonts. We use the CutePDF Write program for pdf
file creation.
Try using Brian Dolata's suggestion about deleting the .ini file, I
keep forgetting to do that and waste time complaining about Cadence. I
don't believe that deleting the .ilinit file is going to help as that
deals with the SKILL aspect of Allegro.

Ed,
The available fonts are those loaded from the plot device, for you that
would the PDF Creator program.
I'm not certain why Allegro is quitting on you. The obvious thing is
that there is some sort of linkage between PDF Creator and Allegro that
is not happening.
Can you access other, non-Allegro, files with the PDF Creator program?
