Larry,
Yes, I am able to generate searchable PDF documents from Mentor Expedition 
through PDF Creator.
Sorry to keep imposing, but are you able to select fonts in the windows 
plot dialog and what app do you use to generate a PDF plot with searchable 
ref des?

Ed,

The available fonts are those loaded from the plot device, for you that 
would the PDF Creator program.

I'm not certain why Allegro is quitting on you.  The obvious thing is 
that there is some sort of linkage between PDF Creator and Allegro that 
is not happening.

Can you access other, non-Allegro, files with the PDF Creator program?
