[PCB_FORUM] Re: [SUSPECT ATTACHMENT] Re: Help with uprev batch file

Sometimes you need to use the DOS 'For/Do' command.
In a command prompt window type ;
for %1 in (*.brd) do uprev %1
Make sure you are in the directory where the board files are. It will
take each filename before the extension and enumerate each one.

George used the uprev_overwrite command. It may not give you an 'out' if
you want to go back , unless of course you've copied all the files to a
new directory.

Hope it helps,

Andrew

Thanks George but I believe my problem is getting a batch file to work.
Looks like the overwrite works but it stops at the first design. I have
attached my batch file. I have 3 designs but the file only upreved 1

Try copying all the boards to their _15 names, then running
uprev_overwrite *_15.brd

DISCLAIMER: I haven't done this in a LONG time, but I think that it
should work. Your mileage may vary.

I would like to uprev a bunch of designs from 13.6 and 14.x to 15.2
I am not sure how this is done in a batch file, can someone help? Please
see below.

What I would like it to do is the following:

uprev
board_a (old 13.6 design)
board_a_15 (15.2 updated design)
board_b (old 13.6 design)
board_b_15 (15.2 updated design)
board_c (old 13.6 design)
board_c_15 (15.2 updated design)

The dos window sits there asking for a board name but not sure how to
have it add the name in this file?
Then it will ask for the new name. What is the command to enter text to
dos?

Thanks
Steve
