My board house likes to know how many component pads are through hole and how
many are smt pads for quoting purposes of testing. By having the smt count on
the drill table my vendor can find all the information he needs in one location.

Or you can run "padstack usage" under reports.
Jeff
Larry,
On sourcelink there is a skill program that will return
the quantity of surface mount pads per layer. Providing that
you have solder paste pads defined for them.
I have attached the file for you.

Also, why would you ever want a count of surface mount pads in a drill table?
This is a rhetorical question.

Good Morning to All,
Thank you to everyone for all your suggestions on how to count the SMT pads. It
would be nice if cadence would add a smt pad count to the drill table for
reference.
Best Regards,
Larry Santellan
