[PCB_FORUM] RoHS and PCB Re-Work

Hello All,
The question here has come up about what to do with repair or re-work of
RoHS compliant PCBs. After doing some research, it appears that the consequences
of using one solder composition in manufacturing and another in repair and re-work are
unknown. It is believed that mixing lead free alloys can lead to unreliable solder joints. Do any of you have any comments ? How are you handling this situation ?
Thanks,
Jeff
