Actually you can modify the pstchips.dat file to add pinswapping to a
part. However; forget
backannotating the design and every time a change occurs you will have
to modify the pstchips.dat
file.

Wow this sounds like part Developer has simplified the problem to its
most complex form.

Actually, it was a rhetorical question.
I have been using Concept for almost 5 years and have yet to
successfully build a
part in Part Developer in spite of going to 4 different classes.
I am with the most of them that, once you know what needs to be in the
text files,
it is so much easier to use a favorite editor that does not embed
formatting than
to try to figure out how to use PD! My editor of choice is TextPad by
the way.
A real costly one from England that I think I paid $35.00 US to get the
license.

Thank you all for the help.
Kewin: I created the chips.prt files manually. I had the symbols (.sym)
file
that I had created. And then I changed a .prt file similar to what I
wanted.
But I wanted to ask you, doesn't ConceptHDL has the option to create the
chips.prt file. If not, then what does the "Export Physical" option do.
Can
you let me know about that.
Shirley: I can create the symbol without using Part Developer.
ConceptHDL
tool allows us to do that. But I am still trying to figure out how to
create
the chips.prt file thru the tool rather than making it manually. Will
let
you know if I come to know of anything.
Everyone Thanks again for the help.
