Mitch,

The IDF has a catch-all item called OTHER_OUTLINE.  Starting with 15.1,
idf_in handles OTHER_OUTLINE element.  These elements will be imported
to subclasses OTHER_OUTLINE_TOP and OTHER_OUTLINE_BOT, according to the
"board side" value in the IDF record.  The OTHER_OUTLINE element also
has an "outline identifier" record that is a variable length string.
Use the identifier string to specify what the outline is.  After import,
the user should z-copy the shape from OTHER_OUTLINE_X to the appropriate
subclass.

Hi all,

Thought I'd run this thru ya before I search SL. How do you import
things like soldermask/solderpaste SHAPES into Allegro from Pro-E? Our
shields require soldermask openings and the solderpaste shapes for
stensil creation inside allegro. We want them as shapes (like they're
drawn in Pro-E. Now they come across as 2D lines though.) like the
PLACEMENT/KEEPOUTS come across, so we don't have to redraw them. Does
anyone know how that's done on the pro-e side?
